for everybody who is saying "he wanted to go his own way" that is the stupidest reason ever!!! if u even watch the video on his farewell party aka "last episode on set" party thing they clearly say that its something they planned WAY before they even did auditions for the characters and if they could change it they would but they couldnt! he was THINKING about leaving to go to college but he decided not to but then this came up...gosh get your facts right...
