The Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra presented its annual Messiah Sing at 3PM on December 11, 2010, conducted by Dr. Jamie Spillane, Director of Choral and Vocal Activities, Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant. Orchestra members who reside in various locations throughout Iowa and Missouri joined for this festive occasion in order to supply music lovers with the opportunity to sing Handel's Messiah with a flawless orchestra background. Even the bad weather could not prevent music lovers from gathering together in the cozy chapel auditorium to enjoy this wonderful yearly event. Aside from the soloists and orchestra, people just show up without practicing, and THE AUDIENCE IS THE SHOW! Singers of all ages and levels of musical ability participated, and many other people attended the program simply to watch the show.
This event was hosted by KILJ Radio.
