hey mate its a pity its carved in hebel , a diamond disc on an angle grinder makes easy work on marble or granite , one bit of advice when sculpting is that you need to work the sculptures base into the overall design more so as to give fluidity to the line of the work otherwise it creates a visual discourse especially if the base is of the same material but overall not a bad effort mate :)

yeah yeah i know mate...but i had hebel laying around after a job i did and decided to try it, as ive never sculpted or carved b4 in my life. i carved it by hand coz a grinder was too dusty and messy....but i had fun trying it out anyway.
thanx 4 the helpful tips there buddy....but ill leave the classy stuff to you as this sort of thing should be left to the experts who know what they doing.

hebel is airated concrete...very easy to carve! you can cut it with a saw or file it with a rasp easily.
i dont carve much but ive done a few peices. i wouldnt say they are particularly very good, but its fun to create stuff...i like it, but dont have the time really!
