[Please read] "You didn't put this [personal ad] in the paper?" bemoans Elmer, comparing the slim blonde beauty with her large, gruff Auntie.

All sixteen of comedian Buster Keaton's two-reel films (1934-1937) for Educational Pictures are amusing; some are awful clever; and others—like THREE ON A LIMB (1936) and GRAND SLAM OPERA (1936)—are uproariously funny. They consistently provide quality entertainment to cheer for, not sneer at. Keaton had a gift for playing smart-dumb slapstick and his rube characterization of "Elmer" is so subtle and silly and bumbling and hopeful you can't help but laugh at him in spite of yourself. These classic films deserve remastering and commercial release on DVD. Anyone reading this text who can get that ball rolling...go for it!

"Blunderers Prefer Blondes" spotlights Buster's teaming with cutie-pie actress Dorothea Kent in three Educational films from 1935. Buster provides the laughs and Dorothea "The Spice of the Program"...

This video's music includes excerpts from the Marilyn Monroe songs "When Love Goes Wrong" (w/Jane Russell); "Bye Bye Baby"; and "Two Little Girls from Little Rock" (w/Jane Russell)—all from the motion-picture soundtrack to GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES (1953). Also featured: MM's "After You Get What You Want, You Don't Want It" from THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS (1954).
