Donna Summer - LOVE ON AND ON (original mix). Donna recorded the vocals in her home studio. Song was mixed. Bootlegged on NYC radios and became an instant sensation. Miramax films wanted the song for the first single of the movie "54" about Studio 54. Donna nixed it after she saw a preview of the movie. Epic Records was compiling her "LIVE & MORE" Album and instead of adding the song to the new singles on this project, they acquired the song, remixed it with Hex Hector and put it on the B side of "I Will Follow You" .....

According to the credits of the "I Will Go With You" single, the original production (not the remix) was done by Richie Jones, not David Morales. David Morales remixed the original version of "Love On And On" by Lorraine Cato.

I remember when George played this song as a demo for me on a tape back in the early 90s. I always knew it would be a huge hit - or deserved to be. Too bad the label (once again) messed it up and didn't give a full release to this as a single - would have been #1 on the dance charts and hopefully cross over. There was also an earlier version by a UK soul artist I forgot her name...

This was the definitive version of this song. I'll never understand why this didn't receive a full single release - an absolute Donna classic! For those who are wondering - that's David Morales on remix/production duties for this one! A dance music match made in heaven!
