Herbert Nitsch has now held world records in all Freediving disciplines. After retiring from pool disciplines in 2005 he moved onto No Limits.

His unique ability to think outside the norm lead him to invent the EqEx. This is his 1st record using assisted equalisation.

NoTanx does not encourage this type of freediving, our philosophy is relaxation and enjoyment rather than depth, but i have been asked to re-post this dive for Historic reasons... enjoy, Maybe come and give it a go safely With www.NoTanx.com.

  • whats the difference between all three methods of diving?

  • There are several disaplines, some swimming down and some assisted by a sled....

  • Is this really sport or even fun???

  • It is so peaceful and relaxing...

  • amazing!

  • herbert broke that record going down to 213m last month.

imagine though the mentality of this man, having been down to 183m and coming back up having to face the rope being entangled with the balloon pulling him up and then having to leave the sled and swim all that way to where the judges were... no panic whatsoever! respect! all i can say...

maybe it helps that he's a pilot... has learnt to deal with various situations calmly...

  • Cause of this fucking system with air-ball, is no-limit diving so dangerous. The rope make nearly 45 degrees to the right and therefore he is coming up slowly. Herbert Nitsch is the best freediver of the world, but if the system strikes he will die like Audrey Mestre.

    No-Limit freediving is very Dangerous.

it's called packing, you force air into your lungs to expand them more= taking more air.

  • why do they do that with their mouth

  • Congratulations.........

  • how does he not die from the pressure changes?

  • Damn! incredible I want to do this.

  • Amazing Herbert, both him and William are the king of the seas

  • Has "packing" been scientifically proven to work?
