Avon Lister diesel engine CS 6-1 on load.MOV

Lister CS 5/1 diesel engine ..... retrieved from "Avon" sheep dip in 2005....given to me by a good and kind husband and wife team, to who I am very gratefull .......

the engine had not run for many years and while not seized the wasps had filled the valve rocker area with mud and rust .......

. I fitted new valves and guides, rebored cylinder oversize, fitted new piston plus rings and installed into custom made weather proof steel enclosure, fitted with exhaust silencer and intake silencer ,,,, the bottom end was very good order and not touched .... now runs standby 240v 6kva generator ..... a lovely old engine ..... after two lazy turns with the starting handle the valve is closed and it fires up every time .....
