No worries, it's a perfectly fair question, I don't think that the grown up Professor still believes that he can go back in time and save his father, it's just something that motivated him when he was a young boy, even if he could find a way to go back in time to that moment then as you say he would not have been able to do much anyway, it's not as if it was a preventable accident, it was natural causes, nevertheless his work with sub-atomic particle time travel is amazing.

sir mallet i think bermuda grass is a time portal.i mean not laser but water if you want create gate of time.using a laser portal can kill.and please change the future not the past......

@lastat06513 What do you mean there's no man-made light? Every time you turn on a light bulb you are converting store energy to cause atoms to radiate photons. This is creating photons where none existed before. When an atomic bomb is detonated, you turn matter into all kinds of radiation, including xrays, which are phtons. It's not a philosophical issue, it's science fact.

In an attempt to try and piece together your horrible English, here is my reply to your part on "Why haven't I seen any people from the future walking around?"
Dr Mallet explains in another video, that you can't travel backwards into a time where the machine did not exist.
From the point the machine is turned on, however, he believes he can receive messages from the future, which in a sense, is sending a message back in time for the people of the future.
