Thanks, still it brings back memories.

@JML101582 1989 was Clemens last year...This was 1988 because it was the first year of the 20 game plan...
-
Damn, learn uniforms (not those in 1985) and players/coaches (Dick Williams not there in 1985)...This wasn't 1985 this was 1988 I remember the commercial...

@Kevinprtlnd8 I remember that commercial! I would love to see it again.
-
yea this is definitely not 1985, it's gotta be between 1987-89
-
This is '87 or '88 after the M's ditched the pitchfork for that ugly look before the current forest green and midnite blue duds in '93.
-
Holy crap! I remember this ad, I was f'n six years old. I remember going to my first M's game when Roger Clemens was pitching for the Red Sox and what I believe was Mark Langston's last game as a Mariner!

I like this whole new style of playin' for keeps kinda action in town. Now if only I had a new way of watching this all out action. (I'm starting to think Wayne Cody isn't as thin as that beard leads one to believe. He may be hiding a double chin. I'm just sayin'.)
Not 1985, you can tell by the uniforms and players. This is 1987 or 1988. I know Dick Williams was fired midseason '88 so this could very well be a promo for the upcoming '88 season.

I remember the Mariners theme song from 1984 or 85. It went like this:
Take me to the ball game. I wanna see the M's. The Mariners are playing hardball and their gonna hit home runs. The Mariners are playing hard ball. Hit it again and again. Hit it again.
It would be interesting to see that commercial again.
