This is the same day of surgery. It wasn't really painful, and the painkillers were nice, just watched tv for a couple of weeks, taking walks here and there, not a bad surgery at all. Doctor went in, put in one permanent stich, and glued me back together.

  • Thx Russ. Believe it or not. the pain today seems a lot less then yesterday lol. I know it's going to take some time before it's. How long were you layed up and how long were you out of work if so. Thx again

  • @wfd6912 I took off 6 weeks from work in the summertime, stayed at a campground and enjoyed the relaxation, then I went back to work. Im glad youre feeling better

  • Hey. I just had this done going on 3 days now. My surgeon didnt tell me shit. But from the time i was in recovery till today. Im hurting. They gave me percocets also but doesnt seem to help. started to take 2 at a time and that seems to help. Yours looks a hell of a lot cleaner than mine. It hurts all the time but more so while and right after im sitting.

  • @wfd6912 I'm sorry your having trouble, I hope your surgery is okay. You should call your doctor and see what he says - Russ

  • @ninaco11 , I had mine done about a wk ago and it, too, looked deformed and much folded. When I first removed the bandage after 4 days(Dr.'s instruction), my innie looked too wide after removing the cotton swab. Here it is 3 days after the removal and now it seems to have closed up some. My dr. said that is normal because of continue swelling and sometimes it takes up to 6 mos before the belly button gets it natural shape back. I'm due to see him in 5 days, so I'll know a lot more then.

  • I'm one weeks out from my umbilical surgery and mine doesn't look right . It's too folded up , and very stiff around the area, like a rock underneath my skin. I'm going back to the Dr. to complain in a few weeks. Did yours change any or stay the same? Please let me know. Thanks. Glenn

  • freakysideshow, did you have mesh included with your procedure? I'm scheduled for surgery Wednesday and I was little concerned about the use of mesh. It's more because of a lot of negative comments about pain years later from the mesh.

  • @freakysideshow could you send me the 25 you didnt use?

  • @MrLevergun Hang in there, ask for percosets (oxycodone) You'll make it, and you did the right thing
