  • alot of times it is all bred into them since the lope is so collected and slower. the really good western pleasure hosres you wont see doing reining or anything but they could do it just not a very competetive level. every once in awhile you can find a horse that can do everything but those horse are usualy expensive i hope that helps.

  • in western pleasure the judges are looking at how your horse moves the collection he has and i know through like aqha and apha how flat their knees are. the also look at how responsive to the rider the horse is ultimately looking at how broke they are.

  • wow nice.. I have a question about pleasure horses and showing.. what is it that you're trying to show your horse is the best at? Is it a laid back attitude, collection, or what is it about the movement that the judges look for? can a horse bred for pleasure also be good as say, reining? or anything fast pace? Please let me know.. I'm getting into the western world and need all the info I can get! thanks!

  • that first was beautiful!

  • oh kay thanks. lol.
