  • May ganito pala talga.

  • And now I really want an Arduino board. and I'm slightly worried about the international engineering competition. ;]

(sorry for the long comment, long video)

  • The downside from what I've seen is that the students may not learn what is actually going on. I can't imagine that one week was enough to explain what happens at the hardware level when you make an if statement in high-level languages.

The teamwork stress is great as well. Working in teams has always been a good experience for me.

I might suggest skipping testing week haha. Wait until it's too late to introduce the frustration of finding your bugs!

  • I like the idea of starting freshman on a project. I am in a computer engineering course in the states and at first I wasn't sure if it was what I wanted. It took a year and a half to really get into the interesting components of this field and now I love it. I think working through a product lifecycle in the first few weeks or even first semester is brilliant.

  • Excellent video, kept my attention the whole way through. Very inspiring work. You have alot of pride in your students and rightly so, the project seems to have been a rewarding experience for both students and lecturers alike. Its amazing to see what can be achieved in the write environment.

When i was at university i disliked the hardware modules but i would definetly have found it more interesting if it were presented in a practical hands on approach like this.
