With the release of Innistrad, I've decided to create a deck based around some of the powerful graveyard-based interactions in the set. This is a deck that took a lot of thought and intuition and I hope you all can make it better. Thanks for watching!

  • Doom blade and go for the throat destroy ur deck. Try adding a few invisible men and maybe curiosity or two. It may make the deck more likely to hold up if plan A falters

  • @SDOverturf curiosity is a good idea, but how does it defend against doom blade/go for the throat? also, do yuou think i should run more than 60 cards to maximize the graveyard? i'm thinking invisible man+wreath of geists+large graveyard will do well

  • what about boneyard wurm only 2 mana cost and toughness is equal to creatures in grave

  • @redeyeselementalhero I've found that boneyard wurm isn't really all that great and it's kinda redundant with the splinterfright. i'll see if i can incorporate it though

  • How do you fight Nihil Spellbomb?

  • It's a good idea but if they exile ur splinterfright then ur screwed. Try to get a sideboard going to help out

  • Didn't mean to LOSE Splinterfright, but if you were to lose him some way or another, Boneyard Wurm is a good addition to the mix.

  • Mulch, Boneyard Wurm, and get rid of HoverMyr and the Phantasmal. You could side out some of the Apprentice(s) for Invisible Stalker(s). I would run some counter spells, Mana Leaks, Gut Shots, or Vapor Snags, which can help get rid of your Perilous or the pesky ones your opponents put out.

Normally I see this played Black/Green, but if you go Blue/Green, the more options you have when milling your self and lose Splinterfright or your opponent mills or counters it then surgicals.

  • Viridian Emissary would make great sac fodder for this deck and Lumberknot could maximize on sac'ed creatures on a hexproof body. Dungrove Elder never hurts when running green as well.

  • Edit: Birthing Pod is always nice. Fauna Shaman is better then Merlfolk looter in my opinion as well.

  • Bonehoard!!! Viridian Emissary is a not bad idea either imo get some lands out. Throw an Ambush Viper or 2 for defense. Boneyard wurm. Although no Trample is still a drop less then Splinterfright.

  • no Bonehoard?

    Kessig Cage Breakers?

  • Why not civilized scholar?

  • try to add a laboratory maniac. i have the deathfed event deck, and it's cool and all, but unfortunately i sometimes lose b/c i draw out. a laboratory maniac will win you the game when you draw out.
