In 1989 the USSR pulled out of Afghanistan and a victory for the Mujahideen seemed like just a question of time. But it was not as this film shows. Filmed 21 years ago, it provides a clear understanding for some of the problems that exist in that country today.

My channel on you tube : http://www.youtube.com/alanheath is one of the most prolific from Poland.
There are a number of films here on the packaging industry. This is because I am the publisher of Central and Eastern European Packaging -- http://www.ceepackaging.com - the international platform for the packaging industry in this region focusing on the latest innovations, trends, design, branding, legislation and environmental issues with in-depth profiles of major industry achievers. Most people may think packaging pretty boring but it possibly effects your life more than you really imagine!
Central and Eastern European Packaging examines the packaging industry throughout this region, but in particular in the largest regional economies which are Russia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Austria. That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region and the site http://www.ceepackaging.com gives a pretty good idea where future films are going to come from! Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!
There are a number of business related films here and I intend to do many more on CRM (customer relations management).
My blog can be found via http://www.ceepackaging.com contains background information and more details of many of my films. This information is in English.

  • To my knowledge the only solution of afghan politics is SERCULARISM and removal of all mullahs and mujaheddin from politics.

  • @PoochaqKhor That is the beginning of the answer everywhere. As soon as humankind puts religion behind it, then it will start to advance much more rapidly!

  • It is right to say that it was the west which very strongly supported all these mujahideen. Their jehad( holly war) was praised all over the world and their evil act of terrorism on afghan civilians was considered to be fight for freedom and it was then when fundamentalism was founded in Afghanistan.

  • @PoochaqKhor I agree with you and this should have been obvious. It is very easy to speak from the benefit of hindsight but I recall writing this in 1986 (although I never suspected the end of the USSR of course).

  • Lol that lady was my mom and those two little girls are my cousins (at the end)

  • @TheJ17M I am very sorry to hear that. I sympathise.

  • @alanheath3 let's start with the jews, then

  • @cepeidioten Are you serious, your telling me that the leader of the dreaded KHAD was a great leader.....Daoud Khan was a great leader

  • Now what Afghanistan really needs is a man like Daoud Khan

  • @PoochaqKhor You are so right

  • alisina.org this site is answer to doozaai watan frush

  • Dr. najibullah was a good afghan and the best leader we had

  • @ MaoistLeninistMarx. Very well said my friend. But unfortunately our people are still in the darkness as they believe that they forced the Soviet Forces to withdraw from Afghanistan. If the west hadn't poured billions of $ & £ in support for these mullahs, I am sure , they could never have toppled Dr Najibullah's regime

  • It is a big mystery for me that our people still trust the same Mullahs who ruined the country. History repeats itself and when it does , it will look very hilarious. These mullahs fought against one occupying force(Soviet Union) then but are happy with 37 now.

  • @PoochaqKhor exultant point, but, I would say the so-called "Jihad" was pointless during the time when the Red Army was there because the mujis lost many many more than the Soviets. Also the only reason the Soviet withdrew was because of internal trouble in the eastern European part of the Communist block, a few months before the Soviet withdrawal the the Berlin wall fell. Also just before the Soviets left, the "mujahideen" were forced in to a full retreat.
