These old (48 years) glitter boxes can actually be used even for jazz due to their great sound flexibility and playability. Scalloped fingerboard, yes Hagstrom was ahead of Yngwie, stainless steel frets, Birch/Mahogany box and two single coils in humbucker configuration!

  • What song it is?

  • Hello, It´s a trad from the US mosatly called 15 tonnes.

  • Yes he´s good isn´t he?

These guitars are not half bad, but if you find one take it to a luthier to stabilize it immediately. You will gain in both tone and durability. The glue used ages and remains strong for a limited amount of years. This one is 47 years old!

  • wow! its in great condition! sounds amazing too!

I was just recently given one, by my Fathers old Hot Rod buddie from the sixties. Its was bought in the USA, so it was sold under the 'Goya' brand. It is in PERFECT condition. Only minor play wear. Its Beautiful in Black. Im planning on making a vid for youtube, so keep an eye out sometime in the next few weeks. If you would like to see some pics, feel free to ask for my emai and i will send them to you!

    GREAT GUITAR!!!

  • Thanks mate!

PLease not ethat I´m not playing. I play a decent blues but this three-instruments in one trick is above my ability. My brother in law Thomas is playing my guitar fir this video.

I guess hot rodders are generous people because he gave you one valuable item. Treasure it and get any plastic piece that´s loose fixed immediately in order to maintain it in one piece. Accordion mechanics are usually best suited for this. Tehy know about plastic.

    Cheers A

  • Gr8 guitar!! Do you sell it?

    Cheers

    B.

  • Well, for the moment it is a cherished part of an eleven Hagstrom guitar "collection".

I will keep you in mind should I decide to reduce. It would mean top dollar the Sweden krona is still quite strong and the demand for old Hags is high here.

I aim to publish a new video with the same guitar for blues, so keep your eyes open.

    Cheers

AndersPS I am an avid ZZ-top admirer.

Can´t stop rocking is my motto!
