You Should really change the title of the video because the USAG has nothing to do with this law suit!

HOLY SHIT! That was a $1.8 billion lawsuit. Om, score for China? lol

@AgymnasticFAN I read that to , i don't remember where , international gymnastics magazine or full twist blog or maybe other
but if the international coach did that then that's def his fault
I am really happy for Sang lan for winning this case

@AgymnasticFAN Isn't that what usually happens when gymnasts are doing warmup vaults??
-
@AgymnasticFAN It was on an article and a couple videos on youtube. /watch?v=aL6QBR7P4bU The top comment explains it but I can't find the article.

@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Where did you hear this? It could be true but an international coach actually also pulled the mat which caused her to freak out and thus the paralyzed incident occurred.
-
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 To answer my own comment, Sang was told to do a timer. Once she began, she became unfocused and started doing a different vault so in midair, she stopped rotated causing her to be paralyzed.

Wasn't she doing a simple timer? Shame.

@usagurl14 I don't want to say the wrong name but a very popular international coach pulled a mat while she was vaulting in the air. This was not a accident. Everyday people in the USA sue for some of the most stupid things you can imagine. This lawsuit was not outrageous. There were also a lot of other issues at hand that you and I don't know.
I think it should be noted that USAG was not involved in the suit in any way. Sang Lan sued the insurance carriers, Time Warner and her guardians in New York. Time Warner was later dropped from the suit. She sued because the insurance companies would not pay her medical expanses when she was in China. The settlement will now provide her with health care over the course of her lifetime in China and the USA.

Not when someone's in the air and about to land their vault, especially when it's not your gymnasts or a gymnasts from your country. But honestly I wouldn't know what goes on in these competitions and rules. I'm just glad she got 10 million or something and justice because she was asking for 1 billion which was a bit crazy.
