MBD is a very common illness for them...it does take alot of care and nursing back to health, but as long as it hasn't progressed too far, it can often be reversed with lots of calcium, proper lighting, and, of course, plenty of love and attention :) It's always wonderful to hear of other reptiles who have pulled through and made full recoveries, as ours has. It really is a blessing when they can have a second chance at a healthy life. I'm happy for both, Frill Bill, and my beardie, "Gunner"

He is beautiful! I love the little fangs that they have!
Are they generally aggressive lizards, or are they usually docile, like bearded dragons?
I'm so glad to hear he made it through his sickness...he definately looks happy, and well cared for!
I have a 4 year old bearded dragon, who was nursed back to health by my wife and I, when she was younger (she had some issues with MBD).
I just took her for a check-up yesterday, and she is in excellent health (aside from being slightly overweight)

@dslgunner1977 ohhh thank you!!! as far as i know captive bread are not so aggressive! i suppose just as beardies the more they are handled the tamer they are! we had issue for frill bill with MBD! took a lot of nursing back to health. he is very friendly, likes to have cuddles!!! we had 2 beardies also, i love them, our male was very friendly, he liked to sit on my shoulder while i wandered round the garden n things, they truely are great pets!!! glad to hear yours is doing well!!!!

ohh he was never too bothered, he is a very friendly hand reared filly, he was very ill as a baby and was hand fed thro a syringe and is very comfortable with things being so close, if he were scared he would of run away :0)
