Spartan3065, pls don't get me wrong, I symphatise with the Iranians. They are having protestes to 'tell' the world what was happening during the last election. Its suspected that the Basij, are shooting at the civilians killing some in the process. So, don't you think it right to say the Irans are prepared for such thing to happen?

If you are a conservative in a tyrannical regime, you are certainly against liberty.
If you are a conservative in a liberal regime, you are probably in favour of liberty.
Most self-style conservatives in America are usually reactionaries though, not really conservatives -- e.g. they want women to have LESS liberty in reproductive issues than they currently enjoy in the US.
