The DA20 is a terrific instrument and basic trainer and now it has the option of a glass panel with the Aspen EFIS system. AVweb's Paul Bertorelli recently checked out the system with test pilot Rob Johnson.
then how are the cirrus 22 and cessna 400's cerrtified, thay are fiberglass and cerbon fiber aircraft. The DA 20 could have been certified for IFR they just didnt want to bother with it since the testing and paperwork would have added a couple million to the certification costs.
there you go.. I am truck driver but got ppl in 96 havent flown fix-wing since 97 been trying to get helicopter but think i am going back to fix-wing to much for helicopter now
@notar1 no chance, still at 6th form, last year, going to apply for a cabin crew to job to pay my way through it, if that fails, probably police force. =] good money to move out, and pay for ppl with money to spare
Fantastic video, thanks Paul! I'm installing an Aspen in my SNJ-6, so I may have a few of those red X's to look forward to when I fly aerobatics. :-) Nice to see that it recovers so quickly.

@gabrielatc22 exactly... it looks cool, but practically the standard gauges get the job done, ill fly glass when glass is required.

yeah... i get to fly DA20's C but mine dont have glass in them...but its okay the fun factor of the aircraft makes up for only having steam gauges...
