By the dried up stream
We slit our throats and dreamed
But when the buildings burned
Was there some concerned
Mother laid in bed
What was it she said?

Gather all your worldly jewels
And scatter them like fools
Dont you make a fuss
Days so perilous
When day is done well ride
Who cares what we find

Another misspent night
We thought we got it right
The driver lost a wheel
The ice turned into steel
They shivered like refugees
Way down on our knees

By the dried up stream
We slit our throats and dreamed
But when the buildings burned
Was there some concerned
Mother laid in bed
What was it she said?

  • Weeeeiiiird and amazing. But when I was listening to the album...I didn't notice how good this was.

I've got some new release, with 15 tracks.

  • @MrRobswartzer1 Its so honest and straight to the point, you can feel every word, so expressive, pure art.

  • Wow...

    Fucking wow...

  • It's the song i will hear when i die.

  • Seriously, get high in the desert on a hot day with a camera and this album until night and just see what you come up with, it can be almost as beautifully haunting as this song.

  • 4:04 of almost hypnotic contemplation.

  • Feels a little in piano/lyrical rhythm like "Hurt" by NIN no? Doesn't go loud or upbeat, but just seemed inspired by that song.

  • but srsly...where did you find this track? :O

  • @eyeballsforbreakfast Not likely if you live INCONUS. Only the international release had this as a bonus track, and I doubt CD's are still pressed for this album. Great song though. Very haunting. They should have included it in the regular lineup.

  • Oh, wow. I need this on my iPod. Now.
