1:41 ....tenderness

This is the music I want played when they spread my ashes over the earth. This is soul-stirring music -- heart wrenching and loftier than any religion could promise.

@tameraBayless956554 What do you want to comment , my good friend ...? The whole thing is just beyond words , a truly miracle , something what can change your entire life , a metaphysical shock , an encounter with the "voice" of God himself ...... , by the way , did you really think that Ferrier was really human ..... , I don't ......

The whole thing is just beyond words .... and is , as you said , "the very finest of Ferrier" . Since very long time , I had my doubts about the human nature of this "women" ...... just as "Mrs.Jacqueline du Pré" ......

This is quite simply a miracle. I think it is the very finest of Ferrier.

Deeply felt and wonderfully sung. Ferrier's singing always moves me so much. And the music itself is sublime.

A voice from an other word, singing music from an other time. This is really, really magic.

I'm surprised the lack of comments, by serious listeners. The Alto Rhapsody is
a work of sheer brilliance and when combined with the #1 contralto on record I
wonder what youve been listening to in the past?
She recorded this with the Oslo orchestra also London Phil: under Krauss I
assume Bruno Walter and maybe Sir John.....this singing happens once every
hundred yrs.....Kathleen Ferrier's singing is simply superior to all others.
