This is my first guitar EVER and I just had to show it to ya... even though it's been modded to hell and back. The current configuration features three Seymour Duncan pickups and a Buddy Guy motif!

  • im looking in to pickups for my custom guitar. i was going to get the sd hot rails.i play punk/metal music so would u recommend them?

  • Yes :)

  • what pedal(if any) would you suggest to get that awesome blues sound. I'm a beginner. about to buy small amp. just got a Peavy predator from my father-n-law that was left at his house years ago. i put new strings on it, and my untrained ears love it so far.

    any suggestions?

just learned one of your blues riffs from another video btw, thanks so much. your guitar sounds incredible.

  • Get a good amp - then you won't need pedals to play blues. But if you really need a pedal, a TS 808 should do the trick...

  • nice axe & slide playing, love your tste in the blues. what kinda amp you using?

  • For that video, it was either a Roland Microcube or a Fender Blues Jr Tweed. These days I play a Dr Z Carmen Ghia and a Dr Z Mini Z.

  • I just got one of these, traded off my warlock for it.

  • hey man,

like you channel, love buddy guy (even more than jimi hendrix, but tell nobody)

you should try playing in open G tuning, really cool, thats what john lee hooker uses.

i'm currently lookin on getting hand wound pickups for my mex strat. know any good online shops where i can get decent ones?

    cheers

  • Oh man, I found one of these in a resale shop today for 120 bucks. It played pretty ok in the store, even with the old strings which some had turned black! Took it home, cleaned it up and re-strung with super slinky 9's. Tightened the input jack which was loose. Adjusted the truss rod. It's a cream color like a hendrix type. To my amazement, it plays and sounds better than my USA Standard Strat ever did!! Feel like I won a small lotto here!!

  • lol i'm gonna buy a buddy guy strat becuase of the randy rhoads polka dots lol but i still like buddy guy to.

  • i love peavey guitars they got good tone and crazy looking paint jobs

  • Very cool! I love Peavey. I have a Peavey T-60..GREAT guitar! Back in the 80's we had all Peavey Equipment....awesome stuff...under rated I think:) Be blessed:)

  • hi, can you give me the exact name of your neck's pickup? thanks a lot, nice playing, very interesting!
