Defend against a right-left or 1-2 punch combination. The technique demonstrates integration of straight line and circular blocking, the use of the "figure eight" striking pattern using rakes and back-knuckles and the use of the hidden step to set up the bow sweep check into a rear leg raise to finish. @chisaoboy It depends on the situation and who your fighting, but assuming something changed your taught to deal with it within the kenpo system. The technique just gives you a set amount of strikes that you train to be able to do incredibly fast. Some of the high level practicioners I'm sure could get in every one of them before the opponent recovered.

Kenpo is cool, but I've always wondered how many moves can one reasonably expect to get in on an opponent who is not simply standing there allowing you to do so ? Honest question. I just wonder why there are so many individual steps in these techniques. Sure... you could get a couple in... but why are the techniques so multi-stepped? In other words, why learn a 7-step move when you're likely to get perhaps 2 or 3 of the strikes in, in that many?
