  • Our law lecturer asked us to watch this. How can this video be relevant to answering a law question, can anyone shed some light for me? Thanks! :)

  • @cotsy90 , my guess would be that you should write an answer as follows, giving an overview first (Blue hat), give a few facts and figures (white hat), some positives and negatives (yellow and black), your personal views and feelings on it (red hat), some alternatives (green) and a conclusion (Blue again).

  • Best vid on DeBono thinking hats. My problem was remembering the which comes when. I call it (Bowy bagar)... BlueWhiteYellow BlackGreenRed. Also blue comes at the end too. I love it... it's like you have five friends to consult it... Thanks!

  • Now we can all interact like lawyers. Huzzah!

  • @cotsy90 I suppose the answer you give ( in any law question) would depend on which hat your audience would be wearing at the time.

  • Google search think-strategically-now for another great ebook in line with this video, great stuff. Overall improving your thinking is kind of complex for some, this resource laid things out on a step by step.. got to crawl before you can walk..

  • @lazarush1980 Re: How do the 6 hats work

The idea is to put on and take off hats. If everyone on a team understands the different hats it's even better, as you can catch people caught in a particular mode of thinking (usually black hat) and say, "Thanks for the black hat thinking, let's try some yellow hat thinking." The key use is to get unstuck from unproductive thinking modes, and to better attack problems by putting on all the hats at your disposal.

  • watch the original videos by Edward de Bono. there are 6 parts to his talk. (an hour)

  • how does the six hats work? i mean in practice - do I need to read the book & follow instructions - how is it applied? does it only work for business or can anyone use its principles? someone please advise me - thanks
