.26.12: Philadelphia Pa: (Education/Politics/Activism/Nonprofit): As the sun laid its head for rest behind the statue of William Penn, atop of City Hall, a massive group of community activist known as Fight for Philly® occupied the corner of 15th & Market St to demand that Wells Fargo bailout Philadelphia schools and communities. Led by Ann Gemmel, Political Director for Fight for Philly®, and joined by members of Occupy Philly, Moveon.org and Neighborhood networks, the organization, which describes itself as a grassroots coalition of Philadelphia residents, community, faith based and labor groups united for good jobs, corporate accountability and strong communities, announced the launch of their "Too Big Too Trust" campaign; a movement designed to holds the Big Banks accountable for bad swap deals that were done with the City and School District.
