@ElProximo I agree. It's the Hotel Vancouver. It's the Banff Springs. I hate that everything in the world is being made part of a chain...

the lady was killed by a jealous boyfriend

Crap.

I am still so annoyed at 'Fairmont' and I'm still not calling the Banff Springs Hotel 'The Fairmont',
and,
I don't even know what hotel people mean if they say 'Fairmont' until they clarify they mean 'Banff Spring Hotel'...
..Anyways.. you get what I mean.

I wish I knew about "The Lady in Red" a while ago. Just over a month ago, I was touring with my band and we stopped at the Fairmont Hotel to get some rest. My band mate and I were on the elevator and it stopped on the fourteenth floor. Within a few seconds after hitting the button to go to the floor we were heading to, we saw a clear, visable red dress fly down the hallway.
It gave me the chills then and typing it now, the chills are tingling up my spine.

I read that "The Lady in Red" was a regular at the hotel's ballroom back in the 1930's and early 1940's. Then, one day, in her red dress, she was killed outside the hotel in a tragic car crash. Her spirit is friendly, and ignores all people as if they don't exist. She makes the hotel's elevator stop on the fourteenth floor without being requested. She was also faintly been seen in room 1403 by a bellman.
