Forget the neoconservatives. As the Democrats retake Washington and progressives think they can pull the U.S. back from the brink, Stephen Marshall's up close and personal investigation finds that the biggest threat to Western democracy is the U.S. liberal elite.

  • The book is an excellent attack on the Democrat "liberals' in the US as well as figures like Michael Ignatieff in Canada. The Democrats aren't heroes just because they're opposed to Bush. There's a big coalition of people opposed to Bush and we shouldn't necessarily trust all of them.

  • I am a non-smoker. My research has concluded that it is not a healthy practice. My research also indicates that GNN is a CIA operation. I come across many types like you who believe the American system of Government and Media are magically immune to corruption and covert activities despite history overwhelmingly providing evidence to the contrary. Perhaps you should try to smoke something, I heard it can open your mind.

  • have you notice the liberals hate capitalist government we have now and want to change it. They never really say what they would change it to.well lets see whats left ,if gone. could it be communist ,big government control ,tell us what to do and when. decide who can have money and who cant. decide how your money is spent type of thing.forced healthcare ,decide who can get what when needed.while they live good ,with plenty of money, good healthcare, big houses and so on. what do you think?

  • @greenback001 i like your atitutte and your skepticism, but don't you think maybe he's just a guy who has written a book... a guy who notices the similarities between parties. If there's one thing CIA wants us to think it isn't that are 2 political parties aren't different

  • @Fmaack well said, you've got some good brain cells knocking around in that head! congrats you were born a genius.

  • Interesting (and clever) how elitist Stephen Marshall titles his book after what HE HIMSELF is: a wolf in sheep's clothing. When I watch him/her him speak, I don't get a sense of honesty. He actually FEELS like false opposition.

  • bang on

  • i'm sorry i insulted you. but i have to say that calling someone a cia plant is mean. if you actually met stephen, anthony, josh and the other folks who founded gnn you'd realize that the idea of them working for the cia is laughable. it's actually more probable that you work them. i'm sorry if i insulted you again.

  • why don't you first try searching the subject for left gatekeepers. I would provide more but youtube comments is 500 words or less, and you also initially insulted me. I don't have time for rude and ignorant people.

  • i'm intrigued by your research. how was it conducted? assuming its correct, what specific 'wins' can the cia claim to have made in running gnn? can it be considered a succesful operation?
