You are not quite on with the Waffen SS comment. The Death's Head Division - Totenkaumf, was a part of the SS and he considered them to be his personal best. The entire Waffen SS did not just serve him. Do a little research before making comments please.

the Waffen-SS was a combat unit composed of volunteer troops with particularly strong personal commitments to Nazi ideology. They were also under Hitler's direct control. But if you wanna nitpick be my guest.

I'm fairly certain my distaste for B.W's role in the Iraq fiasco equals yours. I just feel you made a poor choice comparing them to the Waffen SS who in 1940 was not a private organization but an actual branch of the German military. It was also a highly disciplined military organization which handled some difficult combat roles for the better good of the German effort rather than a cash profit.

..or as staff at the concentration camps and other high priority SS facilities where they perfomed duties as interrogators and intelligence gathering officers. They were an independant unit within the SS proper and not soldiers per se. There is confusion about the designation "Totenkopf" but I hope that this helps clear up some of the misunderstandings. The Waffen SS were extraordinary soldiers and should be remembered for their service and their dedication to their duty.

The Waffen SS (Waffenamt) was the military arm of the SS. While the SS was mainly composed of party members whose dedication to the party more or less earned them their positions and status in the SS, the waffen were merely soldiers who may or may not have been members of the Nazi party. They were highly trained and received the best equipment and advanced training in tactics making them some of the premier units in the German army. Totenkopf (Totenkopfverbande) were SS who operated as guards...

@msmassdestruction We need to start doing a better job at taking care of our soldiers,our government hires groups like BW and pays unreal amounts of money to them,yet they allow our sodiers to go without,to have a Vet come back and not get the services he or she needs is uncalled for,BW personel are paid a whole lot more than are our own forces,its shameful.

@galacticwacko Dont sweat it,alot of people get the point,BW could be a great threat to Citizens in certain situations,as many groups of soldiers of fortune are,though I think foreign troops already here and training pose a bigger threat,bacause its been said they would have no problems firing on Americans,some of the SOFs may have a problem with it as I would.As long as we enjoy our Second Amendment Rights we will remain a strong country,if only the family unit were stronger.
