What? So I'm sexist for not finding her funny? Explain the logic behind that line of thought if you please.

Yeah, that's right(English isn't my first language). It's not just media and advertising, it's people around us too.Everyone is affected by the views expressed in their environment, it's not being weak willed, it's being a social human being. If one wasn't affected by any of it they would be a sociopath or autistic.

They are able to do it,but why exactly should they?Is it important simply because women are more concerned about it?It's s perfectly reasonable thing to talk about

I think you're confusing the words 'imminent' and 'prominent'. Anyway, you're saying that Josie Long et al are so weak-willed that they're influenced by media and advertising to the point of having to talk about it in their sets? Female, feminist comics should be able to put together a set without resorting to stereotypical subjects.

Yeah, cause not putting a d at the end of a word makes one a thoughtless person.

Anyway, comedians talk about things that are imminent in their lives and, being constantly surrounded by people judging you by your looks and being constantly advertised at by beauty companies and being of a sex whose only value in many films and tv shows is to be good looking is imminent in most women's lives.

Anyway, I've seen Josie live and she didn't say anything about her looks, it's not a rule.

The irony is thick and deep with you. "You haven't been encourage to think much". Spell at all? Maybe if feminist comedians stopped talking about aesthetics, they might be respected a bit more. When I go to see a female comedian, I know I'm going to hear about looks and/or weight! They're defined by their material, not by comments about their material.

I said she hasn't done much acting, not that she hasn't done any acting, learn to read.

You probably haven't been encourage to think much in your education, but please do try to think a bit beyond your present opinion.Maybe there's a reason why female comedians feel the need to talk about appearances and the very reason is all around us, just count how many comments here mention josie's appearance and then compare that number to a video with a male comedian and similar number of comments.

No acting? Apart from the 8-part comedy series she wrote and starred in about being a lesbian vet? Shappi Khorsandi is too busy talking about being hairy to talk about weight. Real progressive.

Yeah, he is, anyone who does stand up shows is a stand up. And as far as I know Sue Perkins hasn't done much acting, she's mainly done presenting, panel shows, stand up and comedy writing.

And to add to the earlier thing, I've never heard Shappi Khorsandi talk about her weight either. And anyway, if you want female comedians to talk less about their weight, stop people from telling them they're fat all the time.

She's a comedy actress who has done solo shows. Is Ricky Gervais a stand up comedian?
