This video gives a view of life in the English countryside, as shown when something a little unusual happens. The balloon landed in a field belonging to the stables, near Ecton village.
Virgin Balloon Flights is independent of Richard Branson's companies, but has a license to use the name, Virgin.

  • @leparditas He is a great master of publicity.

  • he made a great promo for hes companies

  • The trees do have a grand appearance, somehow.

I was very lucky to be passing by and at first thought the balloon had just taken off. There was a post of the fence for the camera and the balloon just landed in a gap. It was lucky for me and I think for everyone concerned.

  • These days it probably is, yes. It used to belong to the Ecton Estate and had an avenue of trees down it as a carriageway.

I'm Ecton born and bred. :)

  • Thanks. The place is Ecton Lodge Farm, isn't it? I don't think the owners minded having the balloon land. It will have left a good memory.

  • They put it down right in the middle of what used to be the cricket pitch, before they moved it more into the village.

    Nice video.
