what u show at 4:30...While we searching for gold..a friend find a rock like this...one side rock other side gold...but he looses it lol not from the pan..he let it fall down.. omg never find again..shit :D

@hixonAu really? interesting! yeah, i've heard of some golds that have a really rusty/oxidized look to them too that can be baked off...
i've always wondered, how do people manage to protect their claims from claim jumpers? my dad and i have a chunk of forest, no gold involved, but we still have folks running around all the time poking around even though we have signs posted... with a gold bearing stream i'd think that would be a constant problem!

can you tell me what turns the gold black on the one side of that picker? is it just oxidized impurities?

@TheMapper Thanks........the black is A coating of hematite/magnetite/blacksands.....from sitting to long......like A rock and moss.
