This is naval battle of HMS Victory (ETW Special Forces Edition) and USS Constitution (Bonus content).

Her Majesty's Ship Victory is a first rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, started in 1759 and launched in 1765, most famous as Lord Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar. She is the oldest naval ship still in commission, and now sits in dry dock in Portsmouth, England as a museum ship.

United States Ship Constitution is a three-masted heavy frigate of the United States Navy. Named after the Constitution of the United States of America by President George Washington, she is the oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat in the world. Launched in 1797. Constitution is most famous for her actions during the War of 1812 against Great Britain, when she captured numerous merchant ships and defeated five British warships: HMS Guerriere, Java, Pictou, Cyane and Levant. The battle with Guerriere earned her the nickname of "Old Ironsides" and public adoration that has repeatedly saved her from scrapping.

  • If the Victory and the Constitution truly did meet each other, the Constitution would likely run away, being the far faster vessel.

@tuggernuts, this is not like putting a P-51 against a Typhoon at all. The Typhoon would win because it is more advanced in every way, faster, better weapons, etc. The Constitution is far more advanced than the Victory in hull, cannon, and sail design, its just completely outgunned (over twice as many guns and crew on the Victory).

  • HMS Victory has a nice ass.

  • @GhibliFan1 was proved by exploration teams that have plunged in brismark!!

  • Thumbs up if you have been on the HMS Victory in Portsmouth xD

  • @rafteam1

And which is your second favourite slice of German war propaganda?

  • @GhibliFan1 their own sailors!! they sank their own ship!

  • @southparkfan2717

And who sank The Bismarck? Just saying.

  • @GhibliFan1 Didn't seem to be made of "some pretty hard stuff" when the HMS Hood went up against the Bismark. Just saying.

  • It's not all down to the ships, but the people who sail them. And we Brits are made of some pretty hard stuff. Especially in Nelson's day, god rest his soul.

  • This would never happen. The HMS Victory was made to take alot of damage and deal it. The USS was made to beat anything it couldn't outrun, and outrun anything it couldn't over power.

  • @faibarlinc999 Her Majesty's Service.

  • Whoever was driving the Constitution in this vid has a lot to learn about tactics. Frigates can take on first rates alone, I've done it in ETW and I take smaller ships against larger ones all the time in another ship game called Pirates of the Burning Sea. The problem here is the Constitution's driver doesn't take advantage of Victory's main weakness, slow speed and lack of maneuverability. You could stern camp by zigzagging across Victory's stern using bar shot, then finish her with round.
