Hey guys, I know its been a while since I have gotten a video up, I switched to Linux for a while, then had my computer crash, lost everything lol.. But now I'm back and ready to go I think, I've been having troubles with the codec of the video but it should be good now.
Left 4 Dead 2 Demo!
Set in the zombie apocalypse, Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) is the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning Left 4 Dead, the #1 co-op game of 2008.
This co-operative action horror FPS takes you and your friends through the cities, swamps and cemeteries of the Deep South, from Savannah to New Orleans across five expansive campaigns.
Youll play as one of four new survivors armed with a wide and devastating array of classic and upgraded weapons. In addition to firearms, youll also get a chance to take out some aggression on infected with a variety of carnage-creating melee weapons, from chainsaws to axes and even the deadly frying pan.
Although I never got to try out the Chainsaw I used as many weapons as I could for you guys!
Enjoy, and as always its played 1280x720
Review!
Gameplay:
The gameplay was fantastic, although it is a zombie game there are lots of moment's where your struck with laughter over people getting cut up, blown to pieces or what ever. But I did find that they were some kinks in the gameplay, mainly with the melee weapons, but that is to be expected with fact that it IS after all.. A demo?
The setting had many effects on the gameplay, just going to point out the part where you have to run through the fences to stop the alarm, I don't know about you. But I was waiting for that since the first one!
The controls are a little different feeling than the first Left 4 Dead, mainly in the mouse, I found the aiming was a little more smooth, not really a bad thing, but it took a few seconds to get used to.
There was new zombies in this version, which I really enjoyed since I got bored looking at the same zombies coming at me over and over again in the first Left 4 Dead, but I still ended up seeing lots of duplicates and multiple armored guys at the same time, it kinda defeats the variety.
The melee system was great! I picked up all the weapons and had a go running around slicing up my enemy's and such, especially the guitar and machete! Nothing better than hearing the guitar sounds as you smash zombies over the head! Good work! The new weapons really made a difference also, I had a very happy smile on my face when I saw the new weapons and even some of the old ones! It really helps.
Presentation:
The graphics quality was pretty much exactly the same as Left 4 Dead 1, give or take a few adjustments, but what I really noticed was the special zombies looked amazing, they sure went ahead and touched them up! If you ask me, it adds to the feel of the game. All the new weapons they added also ups the way I look at this game, I couldn't stand having 3 weapons to choose from in the first one.
Summary:
Over all this game looks like it is going to be just great, especially for you gamers who love mashing zombies to no avail :) Be on a lookout for this one when it hits stores, your for sure can't miss it!
Happy gaming and be sure to use that defibrillator!
