Religion is profiting? Not here. I don't believe in god and I rated this video 5 stars because I believe in hope. This video is first and foremost about spreading the word and helping the relief aid. Please be mindful of something's true purpose before you heckle and make yourself look insensitive.

Well, I suspect that you're correct, BUT those that ignore him are allowing him to make his BONE HEADED statements go without response which is as bad as supporting him in my opinion! I have yet to hear a RELIGIOUS AUTHORITY counter what Robertson said in public!

IMHO Robertson no longer represents them.

To be sure he's got a good grip on the minds of many elderly people however I think in the wake of any number of times his foot has gone in his mouth in the last ten years many on the right are now ignoring him and listening to either Rick Warren or a local minister.

To be fair this is still just my opinion.

I Agree that Robertsons a wee bit off but he does represent a lot of the Christian right! Scary stuff in my book!

Blaming the people of Haiti for this disaster is a really "safe" belief system. If you believe this way, and you do everything right, then nothing bad should come your way, right? This doesn't require faith - it relies on our own actions. We become our own gods. Faith is about leaving room for the mystery of God and doing what we can to participate in the best of humanity - the capacity to love even those we don't know.

Good question! The Rev. Pat Robertson said his God did it cause Haiti made a pack with the devil hundred+ years ago! Sure did take his God a long time to punish the great grand children of Haiti!
