Sister Wendy in Conversation Part 5

I like the part where she compares life to being in a cage sometimes; I know what she means. It's easy to become enclosed in your own little world, scampering between job and home, spending your time either doing work or watching tv. Then all of a sudden days or weeks have passed, and you haven't actually DONE anything, or had any real thoughts. It really is important to step away from that when you can, and look at the bigger picture and think these kinds of bigger thoughts. Good advice.

she's beautiful and brilliant and lovely to listen to - but i really wish she would use more examples and mention specific works of art. everything feels more real when she mention poussin and cezanne.

Sister Wendy is more than just a simple nun and art expert, she is also a great philosopher, listen to what she says and it can apply to anyone. She merely uses Art as a method in which we better understand ourselves.
