Ray Davies -part of a brief appearance at the Boston Arms 23rd November 2008 during the Official Kinks Fan Club Konvention with the Kast off Kinks2. This brings tears to my eyes. It is so appropriate as Ray connects with his fans more directly. I was lucky enough to see him perform the song in July 2008 in Seattle and it was equally touching, although in a different context.

Great to see this, and thanks for posting it. Last saw Ray Davies at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, in May 2007. He was absolutely amazing (as usual!)His voice was at its very best, and he stayed with us for as long as he could stand up, as we wouldn't let him go off. As a fantastic plus, I could hear the very lovely Tony Wilson talking behind us. All the more poignant now, as we lost him in August, 2007.

It was great! What an amazing afternoon! We had Mick Avory, Ian Gibbons, Jim Rodford, Bob Henrit, John Dalton, Dave Clarke, Debi Doss and off course Ray Davies on the stage singing two songs. Cheers, Ron

",KinKs fans are the best fans in the world and Ray and Dave deserve all the credit for the cultivation of a great group of misfits and should be very proud of us misfits as we certainly are of them. God save the kinks, Dave and Ray and all their loyal fans, that have supported them all along! Thank you for the days Ray and Dave. - Frank Lima, The Montvale, New Jersey Hillbilly Boy aka Dan the Fan

You have to give Ray a lot of credit for showing up there. There are not many stars at his level who connect with their fans at this level and be as intimate as he has been in recent years. The KinKs were once called " A Thinking Mans Band " in a great NY times article and review around the time of the release of Muswell Hillbillies, and I could not agree more, but now they are also a " Peoples Band
