There's still stringy stuff on the Banana.

Good video. Of course you could use a juicer to accomplish this too right? BTW, what's the name of the music in the background?

I loved your video too, I liked your presentation skills. Never thought about using tea either -- really good idea. Thank you!

Question: Do you know how much the blade heats the smoothie when it blends? I'm trying to decide on a blender and the Oster seems to work great at an affordable price. I, however, want to get a blender that preserves most of the nutrients of the veg. and doesn't cook the food as it processes it because I'm doing a raw diet for the time being.
Anyway, have you noticed your smoothies being warm if not blended with ice?

Think of it this way - you don't get hot smoothies at Jamba Juice or Robek's, right? Yes, some stronger blenders like Vitamix/ Blendtec can heat the contents simply from the frictional heat of the blades spinning so quickly, but these often come with preset cycles that last for several minutes and are far beyond the time it takes to actually blend a smoothie like the one shown above. Truth be told, it's not surprising that a blender isn't really an incredibly effective tool for heating food. :)
