IN MEMORY OF MARY HATCHETT
Standing Alone was Directed by Carmen Einfinger, in 1984.The film is a
portrait of Sculptor Duayne Hatchett at his studio on 18, Essex Street in Buffalo, NY. Duayne Hatchett born in 1925 (Shawnee, OK) is one of the greatest American living sculptors. Also, Janis Bowley and Chris Crowder artists from Canada are the actors. The film is inspired by Un Chien Andalou, by Luis Bunel.
In 1968-1993 SUNY, Buffalo, NY; Professor Emeritus of Art. Duayne Hatchett has shown extensively thrughout the United States, represented by Royal Marks, in the 60's and O.K.Harris. He is also in the collection of The Whitney Museum, Albright-Knox Art Gallery. Duayne Hatchett will have a retrospective in 2009 at the The Burchfield-Penney Art Center in Buffalo, NY
