Oh alright.

@Doommaster1994: It's false.

The geography of some parts of this game has always bothered me, particularly in the Grand Canyon stage. Still, it's a fun racer for its time and had good replay value. Great review!

You should review San Francisco Rush: Extreme Racing next.

I hear if you win the game on the hardest difficulty with the Lamborghini, you'll unlock the Fire Truck but I don't know if its true or not though.

I remember for so long, I would call the N64 the Ultra 64, my older brother called it that for a while to, even after the release. My brother quickly stopped calling it that, and I kept on calling it the Ultra 64 because I thought it was the correct name, and one day while talking to some people, my brother interrupted me and said "Why are you calling it that, it's the NINTENDO 64!" and I felt stupid so I called it that from then on.
y did you disable ratings? i wanted to five it ......

I usually don't bother with star ratings due to all the people with bots and ghost accounts that love to doctor the results. This video got messed up while uploading because YouTube's uploader keeps crashing and not applying video settings when a video is uploaded.

Ah yes, I remember when this and Killer Instinct hit arcades, giving us our first look at the "Ultra 64." :) It seems like it was a looooonnnnggg time before we finally saw the home versions. I remember in the arcade, you could slam into a deer in the forest level (completely obliterating the poor defenseless forest creature). I'm guessing they removed that...or maybe skinned it to make bikini girl's new clothes. :D

Yeah. Nintendo took a lot of flak for the censorship they did to this game. The rest was technical limitations that caused the game to be toned down when ported to the console. I'd like to see Midway release a compilation game on a newer platform with the coin-op version of this game in its original form. That would rock. =)

Haha. Nice review Jay.
The game looks ok for the time.

Most Nintendo 64 games looked better than PS1 games at the time thanks to better video hardware in the N64. PS1 developers' response was to get around this by doing things with their games that made better use of their far superior storage media.
