  • Okay did some of my own research, and its A HAIRWORM! so now my question is should i be worried about my dog getting the parasite?

  • it was for sure a larger cricket or grass hopper, black, and the extra part came off the cricket and was still moving for over an hr.

  • this parasite usually controls the mind of a cricket, forcing the poor cricket to drown itself.

  • It ist a worm Gordius aquaticus, it can live inside us, very dangerous!!!

  • hairworm it forces animals to suicide

  • gordian worm*

  • horsehair worm

  • Its a horse hair worm. The most common way to get these are in swimming pools. Usually in Florida. Water flees eat horse hair worm eggs and when you go swimming its very easy to swallow the water flee. The eggs arent killed by stomach acid and then hatch in your intestines to feed for 2 years. Then when theyre an adult they go up to your skin and make a blister that gets really hot. You natureally put it in water and they come out and lay eggs in the water, which usually goes down a drain.

  • I saw one in Half-Life 2.

  • i saw 1 in men in black 2

  • good thing your dog didn't eat it.

    could've gotten infected.

  • i saw one of those is star wars
