  • Actually, this wasn't even a part of the sermon. He butchered it very badly. And I have my doubts about the salvation of the people who came forward.

  • We have to be careful: people will indeed respond to a gospel that doesn't necessarily convict of sins but makes them think God's going to give them a cushy life after they come to Him.

  • How does that "gospel" hold up in poor countries? A gospel that can only be preached where there's money is not the true gospel. 1 Tim 6:5, "...perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that *gain is godliness*: from such withdraw thyself."

  • III John verse 2...

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. People forget that God wants us to prosper in life. If we do it to the Glory of God, what is wrong with it?

  • I just saw pimp jakes on CNN last night, sharing the stage with probably the most despicable prosperity pimpette on TV, paula white. He had the audacity to say that he's not a prosperity preacher. After seeing this clip, I'm even more aware that he's nothing but a smooth-talkin', deceitful, heretical pimp.

  • I attended the Friday night Revival Service, and I can testify that this was a very small excerpt of the service. It was a truly blessed time.

Near the end of the service, there was an alter call for salvation. It was so amazing how many people actually went up the aisles to get close to the platform.

  • How about "Position Yourself to Win Soul's" isn't that what the Gospel of the Kingdom, which our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ preached and teached as he walked the earth is about.Jesus died, was buried and rose again for all of are sin's so we can have right relationship with the father. Didn't Jesus snatch us from the grips of hell by giving his life for us. Hmmmmm you don't hear that message much from some of these so called men of God on tv anymore. All they talk about is money.

  • A whole 6 minutes of nothing. What did the people prophet from the sermon--speaking in terms of knowledge?

What I saw was people getting excited about T.D. Jakes new product "Positioning yourself to prosper." How about "Position yourself to love your neighbor." Where are these people's minds?

  • The lisping pitchman hocking his goods.

While Jesus said he had nowhere to lay his head and Paul said he and the apostles were hungry and homeless (1 Corinthians 4), Jakes claims earthly riches that folks who wrote the words in the New Testament never had. Yet he claims to represent that same Gospel. If that does not seem odd to the people cheering him on, I fear they might never get it. He's milking them based in hope for earthly riches when Jesus said our riches are in heaven.
