I hate diet drinks. Artificial sweetener tastes like poison. Probably because it is. :P
Why not just cut the amount of sugar? That would taste a lot better anyway. Overly sugary soft drink is disgusting anyway, but sugar is a million times better than sweetened poison. Protip - if you want to lose weight - stop freaking drinking soft drink n00bs!
