In April 2008, Brian Brunius, Jeanne Katz, and Deepa Awal drove from Santa Fe to Albuquerque, New Mexico to visit the Boca Negra Canyon, part of the Petroglyph National monument. This canyon near the Rio Grande river was at the epicenter of a population explosion around 1,300 c.e. Petroglyphs at this site date back 1,000 years.
funny I have been on trails like this before, once running into a rattle snake, we both looked at each other and went our separate ways.
