  • Just about to buy this camera until I read and saw that WDS blunder. Go to amazon.com and read review by jmf on one (1) star rating.

This camera is a total flop, an adventure went wrong. DONT BUY IT.

  • @dualquadable Sorry to hear you base all your decision on reviews. I would recommend you try out the camera at a store and take some typical photo's for yourself before making such statements. You might actually enjoy photography again...

  • Hey guys what's the story about this white disc issue? can it really be fixed through firmware?

  • @ntulini1 Gotta wait and see.

  • Dear Fuji Guys,

Sorry to be such a pain on what seems an amzing and characterful camera, but many owners are reporting a 'white blob' glitch (Blown specular highlights) which is above and beyond normal camera results (worse.) Do Fuji Japan have plans to fix this issue? I really want one, but these white orbs/discs etc etc really put me off.

  • @thestrid82 No pain at all. We appreciate any concerns and suggestions you may have. As for the 'white blob", orb, etc.., please have a look at DPreview for more info and official Fujifilm statement.

  • I have had my X10 for a month and i absolutely love it! Great little camera that are always with me. However, the white disc issue are destroying many of my shot at nighttime and indoors. Some of the photos can be edited, but many are to effected to edit them out. Love the camera, and i applaud you for thinking different, but please: make sure not just your specs are top knotch, but also the build quality (sticky blades on x100, WDS, dust in lens and so on)

  • I was waiting for fw fix too but what fix?? So I blew my return window as well. I manage to sell my camera w €150 loss, THANKS FUJI!!!!

This was my first Fuji camera and also my last. Who knew a digital camera in 2012 cant even take night shoots.

Spend your money on what ever you want but not on a X10.

  • Good fist bump at the start, sets the tone.

  • Well, I held out for the firmware "fix" while my Amazon return window passed. You guys blew it.

Now I'm forced to disingenuously sell this flawed camera on craigslist. Never again...

  • @fujiguys We waited. We saw. No it can't.

  • If anyone is interested the link below takes you to an excellent example of the X10 HD video capabilities. Titled a trip to X10

  • Billy!

  • I spent a lot of time reading reviews of this camera before buying, and I was a bit worried about the orbs. In my opinion the problem has been blown out of all proportion. I have been trying to capture orbs (low ISO, glinting metal) and whilst yes, I have seen a few, you really have to zoom right in and none have in ANY WAY ruined a photo (firmware is on the way anyhow). The X10 is a FANTASTIC piece of kit; the images are incredible for a small camera: search 'Huff X10' for images and info.

  • hmmm.. :( i am suppose to buy this over canon g12, then i read the comments. :( sad. it looks awesome but i dont want anything ruining my pictures.

  • @fujiguys Whilst I agree that people better go and judge a product for themselves, you guys most of all will know about Word Of Mouth publicity. I, and probably hundreds if not thousands of others wanted to love the X10, but how can anyone 'actually enjoy photography again....' if their equipment ruins the shots they have lovingly taken with large white circular blowouts. Fuji had such a good chance with the X-10. And for any camera not to handle bright light is frankly ridiculous.
