Pete can't sing anymore lol he has damaged his vocal chords. Like 2cor517man said, lets just all put this in God's hands. This is obviously what he wanted at this time so he is most likely going to do a wonderful work with what he has done in putting Tait as their new singer. He did a wonderful work with Peter and is 100% capable of doing the same with Tait.

Its just so awkward to see Newsboys without Peter, and listening to them without that Accent.

I do think the performance would be improved if Tait tried to do an Aussie accent. : )

Yea I definitely agree it was weird!!! I was like oh gosh this is so different! I was a huge fan of both bands apart and now that they are combined it is definitely a change but a new and great experience!!

Yes it does fit them very well actually, he sounded AMAZING out there with them! :] The only person in that band that is the same is the drummer so he fits them perfectly.

It's just not the Newsboys we all came to love "back in the day." Peter formed the band, wrote the songs, led the band all over the world... and is now gone. It's just not the same. But as long as God's name is being honored, that's all that matters. It's all in His hands.

well I wouldn't put it that way.....God used Peter Furler for as long as he needed him to be there with the band and now its time for someone new to step in and take his place because he can't be there forever he has a family that needs him and wants him to be with them and he has been there with the band for 22 years don't you think it would be time for a break?? he has damaged his vocal chords too so he needs to stop singing for a while and take it easy.

No the Drummer (Duncan) used to play Keyboards then Jeff now plays them. And the Guitar player (Jody) has been around in the band since before Take me To your Leader.

You cant take a voice like Taits and stick it with a band that is Aussie.

Lets face it the new sound is not good.

This is liking taking U2's Bono and replacing him with Adam Levine from Maroon 5.

It just does NOT work out.

They should have just done a farwell tour with Pete and and the old newsboys come on stage.

I am so disappointed to hear the rumors being confirmed left and right. I don't think NB is NB without Peter. He was like the glue and devoted so much energy to Newsboys.

Also I didn't think that this performance was spectacular, and I could do without it. I don't have anything against DC Talk, but I didn't favor Tait's solo stuff.

I know NB/DCT are good friends, but to me, I have been a fan since 2000/1, and that is half my life. Since i was 10. I am going to miss Pete's Testimony.
