I knew he was the author of Junior Crehan's favorite but I had no idea he also wrote the Mist Covered Mountains! Two of my all time favs.

A pity indeed but that was pretty much it .. it faded out was and then merged into Maire Brennan from Clannad and her brothers which was OK but 'off topic' for this posting.

Lovely video my friend I hope future generations keep the music going for all to hear -trichoone .

What a great video. Pity it had to cut out at such a point in the video. Junior's music is powerful!

Thanks Bannerman. The clip doesn't really say much about West Clare. On Mustrad dot org I found "Junior Crehan of Balymackea Beg : Profile of a West Clare Fiddle Player" which is very interesting.

Wow! I especially enjoyed his description and tune at the end...waiting for Nature to provide the music. :) What is the origin of this video? Irish TV? Yours? A very nice capture of a bit of musical history soooo worth preserving. (Music brought foward to each generation - never lost, always respected and built upon).

Hi Lorraine. This was on a programme I saw about fiften yeears ago. I don't know if it was ever shown in Ireland, but might have been a joint British/Irish production. It was first show on Grampian, an independent TV in the north of Sctland. Some of my other clips are also from this programme.
