this was the very fist system i ever owned and my first portable was the turbo express they are really underteated systems

@Reigam4 less than that, I never used batteries. what I used to do was play it through a car charger on long road trips. I would also play through adapter. I did not have TG16, only had the express.

but these days you can get a battery charger and just keep a dozen batteries around and just keep recharging them lol

It varied, because you could get longer battery life by switching the screen to monochrome. What really sucked the battery life for me was the TV tuner.
