Streetcleaner (1990):

Godflesh's second release, this was their first full length album. This record is still hailed as the band's best work. Streetcleaner was recorded in 3 sessions. Paul Neville helped out on the last one.

  • Had a chance to see these guys a few times. First time i saw them they didn't even have a drummer. Just a drum machine on the stage. It was fucking insane! I have a drum n bass record that was written by Justin Brodrick.... Godflesh is the tits!

  • @00bilz Not really. The droning and noise influence was obviously from Swans but Godflesh was Riff based like a metal band and there was more craft and less dissonance with Godflesh.

    Swans were good but early Godflesh was taking the Swans sound and making it more metal and enjoyable.
