Nosferatu - Horror.wmv

When it came to writing two pieces of music for the chosen clip from the black-and-white, silent horror classic 'Nosferatu', I always knew that one version had to reflect the horror/terror.

The way in which the film was shot and acted is still to this day very eerie, which meant a generic horror-style score would work fairly well.


In order to build the feeling of horror and fear, I tried to keep the music stabby, jarring and not too melodic, building up to a crescendo when Count Orlok is seen for the first time as Nosferatu (first ever on-screen vampire/dracula).
