CASEY JAMES "I Got Mine" 7/2/10 Milwaukee, WI

The first song of Casey's set during the American Idols Live 2010 tour at Summerfest. This is a cover of the Black Keys song from their 2008 "Attack & Release" CD. Casey & guitarist Tim Stewart have some great back & forth solos in this. The highlight of the night for me. Sorry for any bad spots but I couldn't be too obvious about doing video as security was on the look out.

I LOVE that Casey is covering a Black Keys song!!! They're one of my favorite bands and he does an excellent job with it!!! Can't wait for his debut album and tour.

@googenshlagen I saw Jimi Hendrix shortly before he died. Jimi performed in Madison WI in 1969, and Casey does rank up there with Hendrix. If you saw him in person you would know why I made this comment.

@Flaredfullyfinally I am a Black Keys fan and I really like Casey's version of the song. I dont particularly care for American Idol, but I did discover Casey by accident and I immediately liked him, I think he is very talented. The problem these days is if people like you stopped being so snobbish about all of the undiscovered talent you keep on mentioning, then people like Casey James for example would not need to appear on talent shows like American Idol to get noticed in the first place.
